ABOUT SARAH BEESON

I have always sought creative opportunities throughout my finance orientated working life, and see a strong connection between art and maths.

Now retired and having more time for my art practice, I have studied more formally at the Warehouse Art School in East Oxford and am currently working towards my Masters in Fine Art at Oxford Brookes University, Oxford.

Focussing on calming cool colours and experimenting with various mediums, I am inspired by the beautiful West Berkshire countryside, big skies, open spaces, natural materials, and ancient traditions. My current practise explores the complex relationship between the past, present and future, and seeks to highlight the interconnectedness and the importance of cyclical patterns both in nature and in our own lives. Drawn by the natural world, and particularly by water, I delve into the theme of change and the passage of time.
